Getting from Munich Airport to Tyrol or Salzburg

By Bus (Munich Airport-Innsbruck, Munich Airport-Salzburg).
Your best low budget choice for these routes is the bus. At present time only Flixbus covers the route from the Munich airport to Innsbruck and Salzburg. The journey takes about 3 hours and 10 minutes to Innsbruck and 2 hours and 45 minutes to Salzburg. I have traveled enough times with this company so I highly recommend it. The pros of taking the bus are:

By train
The cheapest and safest option is the train. If you book your tickets your tickets in advance you will pay even cheaper than travelling with the bus. The journey to Innsbruck lasts only 2 hours and 10 minutes. Please consider that you have to change train at Munich's East Station (Ostbahnhof). Depending on the final destination you may have to change 3 trains.
Concluding, the train is a very good choice because you can safely reach many other famous Alpine destinations, such as Kitzbühel, Zell am See and Mayrhofen.
Taxi-Shuttle
Another alternative is the specialized taxi companies that pick you up from the airport and leave you at your destination. Estimate about € 55 per person or € 100 per return. From 8 passengers they usually make special offers.
