Innsbruck. In these places you will taste the best cakes!

Austrians use to combine their coffee with a piece of cake, so in all cafes you will definitely find some traditional cakes, such as the famous chocolate cake Sachertorte or a sweet strudel. But for a greater variety of traditional cakes and a guaranteed explosion of flavors in the mouth, I recommend my three favorite café-patisseries in the old town of Innsbruck.

1. Cafe Konditorei Munding

Pastry shops in Austria are cold "Konditorei"

2. Cafe Konditorei Katzung

3. Strudel Cafe Kröll

Strudel is the type of traditional pie, and in this shop you will find Strudel in many variations, even savory ones. From the classic with fruits such as apple or apricot, the sweet and sour with Topfen (quark) or even the salty with spinach.

Strudel pies are also served with whipped cream, warm vanilla cream or a scoop of ice cream.
